Gardens and ceremony:
8,000m² of private park and gardens. A ceremony space set among century-old olive trees. Terraces and poolside areas for cocktail hour and morning-after brunch.
The marquee:
A 400m² crystal tent with a solid wooden floor, starry sky ceiling, and 20 architectural projectors. Capacity for 160 guests. The orangery handles preparation and bridal space at 80m².
Furniture included:
160 Chivari wooden chairs, 20 round tables of eight, 7 round tables of ten, 5 rectangular tables, wooden ceremony benches, garden lounge areas, sunbeds, outdoor heaters, and blankets for cool Provençal evenings. A wooden counter beside the pool. A wooden candy bar caravan. Guinguette lights in front of the bastide.
Carnoules, in the Heart of the Var
Le Grand Cros sits at the edge of Carnoules, a village in the Var department of Provence, set within a classified natural reserve for both fauna and flora. The estate is surrounded by vineyards, pine trees, and open countryside. It is quiet, private, and unhurried - exactly what a wedding should be.
The Var sits between Aix-en-Provence and the coast, making it straightforward for guests arriving from across France or further afield. Toulon-Hyères Airport is under an hour's drive. Marseille Provence Airport is around 90 minutes. For guests who want to extend their stay, the wider Provence region offers hill villages, vineyards, and coastline in every direction.
Guests who arrive early or stay on after the wedding will find the area well worth exploring. The Village des Tortues in Carnoules is one of Europe's leading tortoise conservation centres. The medieval village of Tourtour is a short drive inland, known for its elevated views across the Var. Saint-Tropez and the coast are within easy reach for those wanting a day by the sea before or after the celebration.
