What a Visit Involves
Every tour starts in the vineyard. You walk the restanques - the dry stone terraced walls that define the landscape of this part of Provence - and learn how the vines are managed through the seasons. The estate sits in the foothills of the Massif des Maures, surrounded by pine woodland and natural reserve. There is a reason the wines taste the way they do. The visit makes that clear.
From the vineyard, the tour moves into the cellar. You see where the wine is made, how the rosé is handled, and what distinguishes the estate's approach from more industrial production. The tasting follows. Wines are poured alongside context rather than commentary. You leave knowing what is in the glass and why.
Food pairing sessions go a step further. Dishes are chosen to bring out specific characteristics in the wine. It is a relaxed, guided experience - small groups, no rush, no tasting room formality.
A Living Estate
Le Grand Cros is not only a winery. Olive oil and vinegar are produced on site from 500 trees. The estate holds the Vignobles et Découvertes accreditation, France's national quality certification for wine tourism estates.
