It sits in classic Provençal countryside, with vineyards, olive trees, woodland and gardens, all built around a manor house. The estate is known for making top-level Provence rosé, along with red and white wines, and it also welcomes visitors who want to experience the place, not just buy the bottles. The modern story began in 1989, when the Faulkner family bought the property, including around 24 hectares of vines. From the start, the results were strong. In their first year, their wines won four gold medals in major French wine competitions. That early success helped prove the quality of the land and the care being taken in the winery. At the time, many producers in Provence sold their wine in bulk rather than bottling under their own name. Grand Cros chose a different path, encouraged by their winemaker.

The harvest - what actually happens behind the scenes?

People romanticise the harvest.
