Nectar - White

Dry and fruity, this rosé seduces by its aromatic expression, elegance and freshness. From the heart of Provence on Julian Faulkner’s family estate, this rosé offers the aromatic quintessence of Cinsault, Carignan and Grenache, and a careful balance between character and elegance.

CLIMATE
2012 is an unusual vintage. After a relatively mild autumn, the spring was colder than usual, and disturbed by an episode of hail which slowed the maturation process, while allowing an expressive vintage. It is characterized by a nice maturity, well rounded, refined and warm wines.

GRAPE VARIETIES
50% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, 10% Semillon, 10% Rolle.

HARVEST
Manual harvest at 50hl/ha.

WINE-MAKING
Each parcel is vinified separately. Cold skin contact maceration, pressing with separation of free-run juice from pressed must, cold static must settling, temperature control of fermentation at 17-18°C,
racking and blockage of malolactic fermentation.

CONSERVATION
4-5 racking, early fining with bentonite, filtration, blending, stabilization and non-sterile filtration, bottled in the spring.

TASTING NOTES
Clear peach rosé, with beautiful silver glitters. The nose is refined and aromatic, with aromas of yellow peach, citrus fruits and a nice minerality. The mouth is round, with volume and notes of peach. The final is fruity and crunchy with a nice length. A well balanced wine, between roundness and freshness.

MEAL SUGGESTION
Mullet, appetizer, Provencal dished, vegetables stew.
